Well my first adventure is almost here! My family and I are all converging upon the east coast--all 7 of us! It has been several years since we were all together in the same room. Should be interesting! I am so excited though to spend these next 2 weeks with my family before I head down under. My brother David is getting married next Saturday to Jacqueline (whom we all adore!). David has the distinct privilege of being the first of our clan to take the plunge and get married. I'm looking forward to celebrating with him and the rest of the family.
As I'm sitting at my computer this morning snow is falling outside. And I am dreaming of the sunny weather in New Zealand! I am thankful to get the chance to see some snow before I leave---that way I will really appreciate the warm weather in NZ! :) Well I better finish up my packing since of course I left it till the last minute!

Where do I start?!
Hello all!
I am new to this whole blogging thing, but thought in light of the adventure I will be having soon it was time I started one! For those of you who don't know what I am up to I will give you the fairly short version! In January (after many months of seemingly endless paperwork!) I am headed to New Zealand for approximately 6 months. For those of you who know me pretty well you have wondered if I would ever go---it is something I have been talking about way too long now! While working at Black Lake Bible Camp several years ago I met an awesome girl from New Zealand. We spent 3 wonderful summers together and became very good friends. But alas she wanted to go back to NZ and God brought a wonderful man of God into her life. And now they have 7 beautiful children! I can't wait to meet them all! So my hope and prayer is to be able to spend time with her and help her out by giving her an extra hand with her kids. I am also going to be working in Masterton (outside of Wellington--about an hour away) as a nurse in the OR. So begins my exciting adventure! I hope this can be a good way to stay in touch with many of you as I travel!
